Lets dig into this a bit and see what we come up with! 
First of all. if you are using a phone for posting, I won't be of much help to you. I do have a phone and use it once in a while, but I am still learning. I can post pictures that I have just taken, and answer a few comments, but that is the extent of my knowledge so far.
A good old browser on a regular computer and I'm ready to roll!
If you find yourself in a situation where there is no provision for choosing an emoji, (smiley) there are several ways to overcome that, using keyboard shortcuts.
1. Hold down the key with the windows symbol on it and hit the colon key. Choose your emoji from the pop-up, and it should work most places.
((Make sure your cursor is blinking in the place where you want the emoji to land))
Alternate codes (another subject altogether) can be used to make lots of the symbols.......... if you can remember the codes.(Rolls eyes) 
I meant that eye roll for me. I can never seem to remember the codes and have to write them down. Then I forget where I wrote them down at. LOLOL
