This cake is wonderful made from scratch using the recipe from either the Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens cook book.
I serve it with cherry or strawberry Jello/fruit cocktail salad. and vanilla ice cream.

I don’t make it often either, but I am so happy when I do. Homemade is so much better than the ones from the grocery store. I add a touch of almond flavoring.
