I can see that happening. I never have understood why people would want those, Way back when I was going to college my summer job was working in a bedding department for a department store. We had those, we didn’t sell many of them, and they were extremely expensive in relation to everything else. We were selling low quality muslin sheets on sale for $2.99 for twin in those days, and it was my first experience with people who didn’t know that $2.99 is basically $3, they’d buy four and insist it shouldn’t have come to $12, it should have been less than $10…
Yeah, I know, sheets were $2.99? Well college was a long, long time ago, around the period dirt was invented.
First quality Percale sheets ran around $15.00 for twin at the time.
Crazy that they tried to round $2.99 back to $2.00. Weird how some people’s minds work.
I have totally switched to T-shirt knit sheets. I like the Modal cotton. They are cool in summer and warm in winter…no need to drag out the flannels!
I have never liked the satin ones either. (I just thought that meme was hilarious)😁😁
I don’t remember ever owning a set.
((The packaging material to bundle up a set of sheets would probably cost that much these days))
