OLD BECOMES NEW
I decided I needed a better system for reaching my top cabinets in Vero’s Kitchen, so I invested in one of these retro stools! I will add more to this post when I decide if I love the stool or hate it!
COFFEE CAPERS
I finally found it! The perfect coffee mug! Over the past few years I have tried every cup imaginable, trying to find just the right one suited to my needs. I drink most of my coffee while responding to early morning messages, and seeking out and greeting friends that I have made online. As a […]
VERO’S BISCUITS
This is a blog I did on Multiply that got a huge response. It seems that many would like to make homemade biscuits, but think they aren’t capable or that it is too complicated. FRUITCAKE
The cake everyone loves to hate! A bit of a different slant on this one…you don’t need to bake it and it is more like candy than cake! (Two ++ es) I don’t have a picture yet of my home-made one, as I haven’t made one in years, but when I do, I will edit […]

CANDIED PECANS
My family loves these pecans! The recipe was given to me by a dear friend (who has passed away now) and I think of her and remember her fondly, each time I make them.
BUTTERHORNS
These tender, light dinner rolls have been an accompaniment to my Thanksgiving dinner menu for many years. My family loves them so much I have to keep them hidden in order to have any left when the meal is served. INGREDIENTS 1 pkg active dry yeast
PUMPKIN ROLL
It’s that time of year when everyone’s thoughts turn to “EVERYTHING PUMPKIN”!This is one of my favorite pumpkin desserts. (Stay-tuned. This might take a while) I’m also going to make an attempt to put this in the ‘RECIPES’ section.
ANGEL FOOD CAKE
This cake is wonderful made from scratch using the recipe from either the Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens cook book. I serve it with cherry or strawberry Jello/fruit cocktail salad. and vanilla ice cream.
