PUMPKIN ROLL

It’s that time of year when everyone’s thoughts turn to “EVERYTHING PUMPKIN”!This is one of my favorite pumpkin desserts. (Stay-tuned. This might take a while) I’m also going to make an attempt to put this in the ‘RECIPES’ section.

ANGEL FOOD CAKE

This cake is wonderful made from scratch using the recipe from either the Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens cook book. I serve it with cherry or strawberry Jello/fruit cocktail salad. and vanilla ice cream.

Some days a good tummy filling country meal is in order.Today was one of those days.Sauerkraut and wieners, country fried potatoes straight from the garden,cucumbers and sliced onions also straight from the garden, corn bread and pinto beans cooked to perfection.Yum!

GARDEN BOUNTY

I couldn’t decide whether this should be a garden post or a kitchen post, since the potatoes were dug specifically for potato soup (requested by grandson Zeke.) This is one hill of potatoes from this year’s crop….nearly 4 pounds. I’m quite pleased with the yield. Potato soup it is!!!
