In the middle of a discussion with friends just now, about growing peanuts, and it seems like several have given them a try at least once, with varying degrees of success. I had to try it at least one time to see what they looked like growing and to see if I could. (A typical Vero characteristic)
A coffee tree! How great would that be! I’ll stick with growing peanuts, this will be my third year. Great pictures of yours!
Unfortunately, I read that a single tree only produces about two pounds of beans in a growing season. Hardly worth the effort if you were trying to be practical. I would grow one just for the experience though.
Sometimes gardening is about experimenting , like peanuts, I thought would be fun to see what happens. My harvest is small but the best tasting peanuts of all.☺️💚
So true. Gardeners have to be the most optimistic individuals on earth! Year after year we carry on come rain or come shine!!
We started the discussion talking about growing our own coffee beans. Has anyone here ever grown a coffee tree. I think I will try one.
I will be eager to observe how this goes for you! If anyone can do it, it’s you Vero!
Thank you so much, Jill, for the sweet compliment. Having so many good gardening friends sure makes things more fun doesn’t it!!! Joy keeps the timeline filled during the summer with her beautiful roses. I only have one and it is a thornless one. I don’t have a picture on this computer. 🌹
