I bought a new monitor on E-bay Wednesday, it was $200 off, and I had a coupon to take another 20% off that, so a $700 monitor for $400. And I can just hear the first question: “A $700 monitor?!!?” Yeah well this is it:
Yeah, and it is every bit as big as it looks. Now I have a bedroom devoted to my computers, there is a desk pretty much the length of one wall I have three of them on, it is L-Shaped and I have six monitors on it. This thing is replacing two of them.
I measured the space, it fits ( the thing is 3 1/2 feet long ) and let me tell you, looking at the length on tape measure is nothing like looking at the monitor in person. It’s huge. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the thing upstairs to the computer room.
I got a 55 lb office printer up here, I figured I could get a 40 lb monitor up here too. Now I’m not so sure, I might have to call for help 😉
AWESOME!! 43 inches Wow! I thought my 27 inch was huge. lol
Really though, it’s fantastic. I can’t imagine how so many manage with just a little phone screen. Hope you have someone to help you with getting it where you want it. That sounds like quite a task.
I’d call for help, but not my help, I have a bad back….
(looks around for Suzi, she can help, just promise her snacks…but hold off on any wine.)
No manual labor without wine…🚫🍷
So if Red Bull gives you wings, wine gives you muscles? Or delusions of muscles? 😀
I’m definitely going to need help getting up the stairs. Either that thing is a lot heavier than 40 lbs or I’ve gotten a lot weaker. Since I already got a 55 lb printer up those stairs I suspect either the box and accessories add a lot more weight, or that monitor is heavier than advertised. Either way, it is going to have to wait for a second person to help.
Or you could channel your inner redneck and try to jerry-rig a means of using a sled-like base to slide/pull it up the stairs. (Hopefully the stairs are carpeted)
I’m wondering how you will like the legs instead of a solid base. My smaller(24 inch) “all in one” has them and at first I hated it. They looked kinda cheap and junky, but have grown on me. It gives a lot more desk space because you can slide things under it.
