WORDS OF WISDOM

Ahhhhhh summer with all the pretty flowers!! Can’t wait!

On Christmas Eve 2025, Mike Farrell Drove Back to Harry Morgan’s House — “Dad, I’m Home” ❤️
December 24, 2025.
Los Angeles. Mike Farrell is 86 years old.
He reaches for his car keys, looks at his wife, and says quietly:
“Shelley, I’m going to see Harry.”
“Mike… he’s been gone 14 years,” she replies gently.
“I know,” he says, nodding. “But the house is still there.
The memories are still there.
The love is still there.”
So he drives.
Slowly. No radio playing.
Just an elderly man moving through familiar streets, past corners where he once turned to share dinners with Harry Morgan — the man he still calls his “Colonel”… and, in his heart, his father.
He stops in front of the old house.
Same walkway. Same windows. New owners now, but they recognize him — every Christmas Eve, they welcome him inside to “visit an old friend.”
Inside, framed photographs still hang where the family left them: Harry as Colonel Potter, Harry with his real family, Harry laughing in that unmistakable way every MAS*H fan remembers.
Mike pauses in front of a photo from 1980 — Harry in uniform, smiling like he’s about to call someone “son.”
“Dad,” Mike whispers, his voice unsteady, “I’m home.”
“I’m 86 now. Older than you were when we met in ’75.
Back then, I was scared. I was ‘the new guy,’ stepping into shoes everyone already loved.”
He wipes his eyes.
“But you looked at me and said, ‘Mike, don’t be afraid.
You’re not Wayne. You’re YOU. And you’re going to be just fine. I believe in you.’”
In the stillness of the living room, Mike’s shoulders shake.
“You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself,” he tells the photo.
“Thank you for that. Thank you for loving me like a son.”
He stands there a long while — no cameras, no audience, just a Christmas Eve promise kept to an old friend.
Every year since 2011, Mike Farrell has returned to Harry Morgan’s house on December 24th.
Because some bonds don’t end at the graveside.
Some fathers and sons are chosen on a soundstage… and last all the way to Christmas Eve 2025.
Bring on the new year. I’m excited to see what all will pop up!
Yes, this was made for X and shared here!

Christmas this year was one for the books!
So many unexpected happenings…too numerous to mention!
Topped off this morning by a booming thunderstorm at five o’clock am!!
I don’t ever remember that happening before now!
Thunder in December is rare, but a storm on Christmas is beyond awesome!
Wishing everyone the Merriest of Christmasses!

In no particular order: Highlights from 2025.

It’s a beautiful day here in the West Virginia Hills!
Brilliant sunshine and white fluffy clouds floating lazily across a bluebird sky!
Sundays are extra special… a chance to relax and give thanks for all that is good in this world!
