This is one of my very favorite day lilies.
It is blooming profusely this year.
Very striking in the front bed.

That eagerly awaited first ripe tomato is on it’s way!
Cherokee Purple is very unfamiliar to me. I’m sure I have grown them in the past, but I don’t remember if I liked them or how well they grew and prospered in my garden.
They seem to be maturing in leaps and bounds after a slow start from transplanting in May. The seeds were started in my greenhouse in late March.
Plants are nearing the top of their 5 foot support fencing and are full of bloom and small tomatoes.

We have sunshine!!
68 degrees at noon!
Odd!

There are so many pretty red daylilies. Lots of them are very similar and one needs to be really educated in the small differences to identify them.

I guess “Tequila and Lime” should go into the white collection.

White lilies by name. I think Snowy Apparition is in there twice.
Dad’s Best White…….. Big Snowbird
Wild Horses ……….Snowy Apparition
Rainbow Candy…….. Marquee Moon
Awakening Dream

A newcomer this year. I seem to have misplaced the name.
Quite stunning in spite of all the water spots. Rain is really destructive on just-opening day lily buds.

Summer just wouldn’t be complete without sharing a picture of my favorite rose.
Zephirine Drouhin…a thornless rambler.
Perfection!
