I came across this song on Youtube the other day. I had never heard of these two New Zealand sisters before and thought the song was hysterical! They have another song called “Meet Me Mama”, (I think that is what it was called) which is also known as their “yodel song”. Give it a listen to if you enjoy today’s music selection.
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday, but especially that they are taking a moment to remember those who have gone before and the sacrifices they made for this country and it’s people.
There are a lot of great songs out there that would fit the bill for today’s Music Monday on this Memorial Day, this song has been quite popular for the past several years and I thought it fit today’s theme perfectly.

Well since it’s such a dreary, overcast, rainy day, I might as well go along with the theme. This song was one of the first songs to pop into my head when thinking about songs about rain. It’s another blast from the past and I hope you enjoy the video.
Now don’t go yelling at me if this song gets stuck in your head all day… but if it does… my mission is complete. (wink)
Just a quick blog of 5 blooms from this week. There is a ton of more iris and peonies starting to bloom but today isn’t being the most cooperative for picture taking. I will try and grab some shots later today or tomorrow if/when the weather is nicer to post later this week.
Sorry I missed yesterday’s Music Monday, been a bit under the weather the past couple of days and I’m still dragging quite a bit today. It will be a day or two until I will feel up to getting much done inside or out, with my “innards” still feeling touchy.
Today’s song, (shall we call it Tunes for Tuesday?) is a new song out that I watched a couple of days ago and saved for Music Monday. It’s a nice little country tune that combines the talents of three popular country music artists. I hope you enjoy it.
If I feel up to it, I will try and snap a few pics outside of the hummingbirds or of some of the flowers that are blooming. Iris are popping, and more peonies are opening up as well. With the heat we are having though, and no rain, the blooms aren’t lasting long.
I thought the above meme was funny, but truth be told, every day I wake up tired, and I did it again today!
Welcome to another Music Monday, I picked another blast from the past that I hadn’t heard in awhile. Love revisiting these old songs that hold a lot of memories.

Here we are on the last week of April. I am hoping for a better month in May for getting things accomplished! I chose this oldie but goodie for today’s Music Monday. It had been a while since I heard it and there is something really special about watching and listening to those old black and white music videos. Lots of nostalgia with the music, the clothes, the hairstyles, and of that era in general.

I chose something a bit different for today’s Music Monday selection. This song is from one of my favorite scenes in the Movie, “The Color Purple”. A bit sad and yet uplifting as well if you have seen the movie.

I can’t believe it is only a week until Easter, time is really flying by this month. The yard will have to be mowed by the end of the week. I always hate that first cutting as the grass is always uneven with some areas of tall grass, and some areas where it is a bit sparse and needs a bit of reseeding. Crossing my fingers the weather cooperates, and I can get a lot more done this week.
Going with the windy themes, I chose this old classic for today’s Music Monday. It is a favorite, and I hope you will join in and post a song for today’s Music Monday. It doesn’t have to be about wind, it can be about anything. Have a good week ahead bloggers!
The above meme seemed appropriate as we have had a couple of frosty mornings and things continue to look rather cool/cold for a couple of more days. I hate to see these temps in the 20’s just as so many trees and ornamentals are starting to bloom. I am crossing my fingers that my fruit trees come away unscathed.
I’m down to my last bit of spring cleaning of closets and cupboards and now I have the monumental task of going thru all of the photo albums and boxes of photos to sort and scan and make copies of for each of my siblings. I am a firm believer that every family member deserves to have a copy of any and all pictures and one person shouldn’t hoard them all. So many times, one family member seems to obtain all of the photographs and then they are lost or not shared with others down the line. I have yet to see a pic of my grandmother on my dad’s side as one of his sisters took all of the pictures and now who knows where they are at. I am assuming she has passed on as there was a 20-year age difference between my dad and his oldest sibling.
It’s a job that is going to take a while, but it does give me a time for reflection and many walks down memory lane in the process. Hence, the reason for today’s Music Monday choice. Have a listen if you haven’t heard this country tune before.
