As far as the accuracy on the little rodent, who knows? Typically, one just has to be prepared for all kinds of weather, and hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I thought this song was appropriate for today’s Music Monday. It’s been ages since I have heard the original by old Blue Eyes, but I heard a snippet of it in a video short and went searching for the tune. I came across this remake and even though I don’t know if the guy is as good as Frank, it was the total ensemble of the brass and instruments that for me felt like absolute perfection. Have a listen and decide for yourself.

Here we are with the last week of January and I am thrilled to see the month coming to an end. Even though it’s been a mild winter for the most part, I am tired of the cold, the snow, the wind, and pretty much all that winter and January brings with it.

So, I thought this song was appropriate for today’s Music Monday. It’s an oldie, but one I haven’t heard before. Thankfully it is upbeat and hopefully puts one in a better mood!

Good Monday Morning bloggers! I had a totally different song chosen for today’s Music Monday but decided to delete it for another song. I think this song is a better choice given today’s holiday. It’s been a while since I have heard it, and it is as fitting today as it was when it first came out.

The above meme just spoke to me as it always feels like every day during the winter seems to drag along. Anxious for spring is an understatement, and I really can’t complain as it’s been a rather dry and mild winter. The older I get, the less snow I want to see, the less cold I want to feel, and the less wind I want to hear howling.

Perhaps burying my head in a few garden catalogs will hold those January blahs at bay… but until then, it is another Monday, and you know what that means!

I stumbled across this song on Youtube and I don’t know how I have never heard of this song or this group?! This isn’t a new song, and was actually from back in the 80’s, but go ahead and give it a listen, it is so unique and it grows on me the more I listen to it.

I had planned on posting more blogs back in December. I had the pics taken, but didn’t get a chance to download them and resize them and put them in a blog post.

Soooo, since I have the pics and before I go ahead and delete them to make room for new pics, just a couple pics of things I mentioned with my daily hello/quote postings.

It doesn’t seem possible that it is the last week and the last Monday of 2025! I was googling for songs for the new year, but gave up as I wasn’t all that inspired by any of them. Maybe it is just the typical Monday blahs, or the wintery weather, or my own laziness. Something to think about if I pretend to make any New Year’s resonlutions.

I chose this song for today’s Music Monday for something different. Even though it came out several years ago, it is a fairly new song to me. I hope you enjoy it.

Are you panicking yet? Still waiting on a couple things to arrive here, but I have got all of the holiday baking done that I am going to do this Christmas and it is packaged up and ready to go.

I ended up making 3 batches of chocolate chip cookies, 2 batches of molasses cookies, snickerdoodles, haystacks, and 7 layer bars, a batch of cherry mash, a jellyroll pan of chocolate fudge, and three batches of toffee. (Let’s just not talk about the amount of butter, sugar, chocolate, and calories involved!)

I chose this song for today’s Music Monday as I always listen to it this time of the year. I love Gregorian chants, and I love the movie this song comes from. If you haven’t watched it, give it a try.

The above meme gave me a chuckle, and it’s a quiet reminder as I get ready to do some holiday baking and candy making this week to not sample too much. I already have had a ton of goodies delivered to me in the mail that I have been picking thru to munch on… (Thanks Santa for the early gifts!)
