I chose something a bit different for today’s Music Monday selection. This song is from one of my favorite scenes in the Movie, “The Color Purple”. A bit sad and yet uplifting as well if you have seen the movie.

You know, I’ve never seen the movie…wonderful song, though…
It’s gotten a lot of hype and stuff, and it is a good movie…but… it seems a bit much in that they dealt with about every kind of issue out there. Seemed a bit excessive in their approach that one person would go thru that MUCH stuff.
(such as racism, bigotry, incest, sexual assault, domestic abuse, unwed mother, adoption, lesbianism, etc, etc.)
I think I haven’t watched it because I’m not really fan of Oprah…
