I picked this song for today’s Music Monday because it reminded me of the time we are in now. Summer is winding down, schools are getting back in session, and the sound of cicadas are in the air in the evening. A sort of melancholy time of year to go with this melancholy sort of song. I updated windows last night and when I restarted my laptop I discovered that my speakers no longer work. When I lay my cursor on the little speaker icon on the bottom of my screen I get ‘no audio device is installed’…I’ve spent the morning trying to figure out how to install one…failing.

Oh no! I hope you get it figured out soon. Could you do a system restore to the time before the update? And then maybe try and do the update again to see if that fixes the problem?
And have you tried using earplugs?
I can try earplugs, but it says there is no device, so I’m thinking that might not work…but thanks for the suggestion!
