Mike Farrell is 86 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He reaches for his car keys, looks at his wife, and says quietly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShelley, I\u2019m going to see Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMike\u2026 he\u2019s been gone 14 years,\u201d she replies gently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI know,\u201d he says, nodding. \u201cBut the house is still there.<br>The memories are still there.<br>The love is still there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So he drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slowly. No radio playing.<br>Just an elderly man moving through familiar streets, past corners where he once turned to share dinners with Harry Morgan \u2014 the man he still calls his \u201cColonel\u201d\u2026 and, in his heart, his father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stops in front of the old house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Same walkway. Same windows. New owners now, but they recognize him \u2014 every Christmas Eve, they welcome him inside to \u201cvisit an old friend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside, framed photographs still hang where the family left them: Harry as Colonel Potter, Harry with his real family, Harry laughing in that unmistakable way every MAS*H fan remembers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike pauses in front of a photo from 1980 \u2014 Harry in uniform, smiling like he\u2019s about to call someone \u201cson.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDad,\u201d Mike whispers, his voice unsteady, \u201cI\u2019m home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m 86 now. Older than you were when we met in \u201975.<br>Back then, I was scared. I was \u2018the new guy,\u2019 stepping into shoes everyone already loved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He wipes his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut you looked at me and said, \u2018Mike, don\u2019t be afraid.<br>You\u2019re not Wayne. You\u2019re YOU. And you\u2019re going to be just fine. I believe in you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the stillness of the living room, Mike\u2019s shoulders shake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou believed in me when I couldn\u2019t believe in myself,\u201d he tells the photo.<br>\u201cThank you for that.
