<\/a>day…voices, once silent, rose above the din of jet engines, crumbling buildings and screams, and said, ‘We shall not stand for this!’…<\/p>\n\n\n\nThat day…Faith, Hope, Honor, Love, Courage and Unity rose from the ashes…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That day…grace took grief by the hand…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A tribute to those who lost their lives, and to those who gave their lives trying to save them…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just Another Ordinary Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was just an ordinary day<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the greatest city in the world<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were those who were at work<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or dropping kids off at their schools<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sun was shining brightly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sky, a brilliant blue<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And they were doing all the normal things<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That people normally do<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid the hustle and the bustle<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Yorkers carried on<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For little they did know<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3000 lives would soon be gone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I won’t rehash the madness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of that horrifying day<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For it’s etched within our memories<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where it will forever stay<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will say, though, that it changed us<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And we never more shall be<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unguarded and unwary<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No more complacency<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together we will conquer<\/p>\n\n\n\n
United we will stand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
bin Laden could not break us<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In solidarity we will band<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, always, we will remember<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The evil that touched this land<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On that day filled with such sadness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day that grace took grief by the hand…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
