I wish I could join you for those strolls. I am always the first one out and about here, and sometimes it feels a bit lonely, but I truly love the solitude. Just me and the birds and the flowers.🤗🐦🌺🌻🌼

I think I may have just realized why I have voles now and didn’t have them 15 years ago. (The soil). In the beginning the ground was rock hard from a deep excavation to make the house site. I have gradually built it up and now have 6 to 8 inches of good top soil. They can easily tunnel through it anywhere they want to go.
Interesting! This house was new when I moved in 7 years ago, lots of rocks!
