Great post from a special friend.

Today has been a wonderful day in spite of the heat. I got the front lawn mowed in short 10 minute bursts to keep from getting overheated.

Garden still has plenty of moisture and the plants are doing exceptionally well!!

I feel I am very blessed indeed!!

Just found this from where I had posted it on another site.

Iris season is well over, but the memories remain.

My day starts early! I am usually up around five and having my first cup of coffee. I usually have a little something with it.

I spend the hours from 5 ish to around 8 ish, answering notifications and replying to good nights from the previous evening. I try to get the day off to a good start on my VVV site by doing a post sharing something from the day before. Most of the friends I have collected there (89 now) are near my age and retired, so they get up early as well. My younger writer friends have no set schedule, so they can pop up at any time.

At 8 am I usually go outside and look over the garden and lawn, and let the chickens out so they can start their day as well.
